How to service and repair the steering knuckle on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

To service and repair the steering knuckle, raise and support the vehicle. Remove the tire and wheel assembly and then the front wheel drive shaft bearing. Remove the bolts holding the strut to the knuckle by detaching the outer tie rod end. Reinstall the knuckle, strut bolts and outer tie rod and bearing before lowering the vehicle.
