How to service and repair the tie rod end on 2001 Chevrolet Metro?

Raise and support vehicle, remove front tire, wheel and cotter pin, then separate outer tie rod from knuckle with a remover. Paint-mark threads, loosen locknut, unscrew outer rod. Reinstall by aligning marks, secure castle nut, insert cotter pin, reinstall wheel, lower vehicle, check and adjust alignment.
