You need to begin by putting the Ignition Switch to accy and setting the Wiper Switch to pulse before ending operations with the Ignition Switch when the wiper arms are in place and stationary at innerwipe position. Turn off the washer hose from the nozzle before removing the Wiper Arm nut cover and taking out the Wiper Arm nut from the wiper transmission drive shaft. To replace the wiper you must use the j 39822 tool to take off the Wiper Arm from the transmission part and detach the blade from it. After that use a wire brush to clean the shaft knurls. Hook the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm before connecting the Wiper Arm directly onto the wiper transmission drive shaft. Install the part at a 90-degree angle with the measuring device. Position the wiper arms 147 mm (5.79 in) above the blacked-out glass position on the lh side and 123 mm (4.84 in) below on the rh side to check Wiper Blade distance to solid windshield blackouts. Place the Wiper Arm nut cover after you tighten the Wiper Arm nut to 48 n.m (35 lb ft) torque and position it on the wiper transmission drive shaft end. Apply windshield washer solvent to the washer hose for easier fitting to the nozzle before putting the hose on the washer nozzle.
