The service starts with taking off the valve Rocker Arm cover and then removing the Rocker Arm bolts. The next step requires removal of both valve rocker arms together with pushrods. Apply prelube gm p/n 1052365 or its equivalent to both ends of the push rods prior to installation; the intake valve push rods measure 144 mm (5.75 inches in length with a yellow designation and the exhaust valve push rods extend to 152.5 mm (6.0 inches) with a green designation. Secure the push rods in their original mounting points before applying the same prelube material to the Rocker Arm friction components. Install the valve Rocker Arm bolts with 14 nm (124 in. Lbs.) torque followed by additional 30-degree rotation using the torque angle meter (J36660-A). Reposition the valverocker arm cover as the last step.
