How to replace the inner tie rod of the rack and pinion (Quiet Valve) on 2004 Chevrolet Express 1500?

To change the inner tie rod of the rack and pinion, assemble the tools, and loosen the rack and pinion boot. Bolt the gear in the vise without adjusting the steering gear preload. Unscrew the tie rod on the inside, Clean the threads, and use loctite 262 and reattach. Make sure the inner tie rod is tight and well staked and then reassemble.
