To change the left exhaust manifold of the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines, take off the ignition coils and spark plugs and lift up the vehicle. Unscrew the exhaust manifold pipe bolts, exhaust nuts and exhaust gasket. Clean replaced or not replaced manifold. Install again with a new gasket, but make sure it is sufficiently tightened to avoid a problem of emissions.
