How to replace the front wheel axle shaft on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

Raise and support vehicle; remove wheel, splash shield, stabilizer link. Disconnect wheel speed sensor, discard drive shaft nut/washer, prevent rotor turning. Separate tie-rod end and lower ball joint. Use hub remover and slide-hammer assemblies to free shaft from hub and transaxle. Install new retaining ring, reassemble components, reinstall shields and wheel, lower vehicle, check fluid.
