How to replace the pitman arm on 2005 GMC Sierra 3500?

In order to replace the Pitman Arm, first lift and hold the vehicle up. Take off the power steering gear and leave it in a vise. Disconnect the pitman arm with a puller. Fit the new pitman arm, including a new washer, nut, and refit the power steering gear and check the wheel alignment.
