How to replace the rear brake line on 2006 Chevrolet Corvette?

Start by raising and supporting your vehicle before taking off the rear tire and wheel. Director all dust from the brake hose and pipe joint before inserting a new rubber plug to guard against brake fluid loss and external contamination. Attach a back up wrench to the hose fitting to disconnect the brake pipe from the brake hose while keeping the brake pipe and bracket undamaged. To initiate the service disconnect the hose retainer from its bracket before taking out the brake hose. Loosen and remove the inlet fitting bolt to disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper. Keep the two copper brake hose gaskets that might be attached to the parts for disposal. To assemble the brake caliper and hose use fresh copper gaskets and fit them with the inlet bracket bolt to the supply line. Secure the brake hose into its place on the brake caliper using the bolt and tighten it to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Place the brake hose on the bracket and fasten it properly without creating bends or turns. Then add the retainer piece onto the brake hose end at the bracket. Attach the brake hose to the brake pipe fitting by removing its rubber cover then tightening it with a back up wrench to 18 nm (13 ft-lbs). Put the tire and wheel back on then perform hydraulic brake bleeding procedures before lowering the vehicle.
