How to replace the left side exhaust manifold (RPOs LZE/LZ4/LZ8) on 2007 Chevrolet Impala?

The first step to change left side Exhaust Manifold (RPOs LZE/LZ4/LZ8) involves removing engine mount strut bracket followed by heat shield bolts then heat shield. To start the procedure remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield bolts followed by the heat shield before you take off the nuts between the exhaust crossover pipe and left Exhaust Manifold and then remove the Exhaust Manifold bolts. Exhaust Manifold gaskets should be thrown out after the Exhaust Manifold removal process. Start by setting a new Exhaust Manifold Gasket onto the cylinder head studs before attaching the Exhaust Manifold. Placing the Exhaust Manifold bolts requires torque to 20 n.m after installation (15 lb ft). You should secure the exhaust crossover pipe by attaching it to the left Exhaust Manifold nuts then torque them to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Reassemble the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield while using 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque on its mounting bolts. Then add the Exhaust Manifold heat shield and secure its bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reinstall the engine mount strut bracket as the last step.
