How to replace the Cam Gear Actuator on 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

In order to replace camshaft position actuator, assemble the required tools and take off the oil pump and CMP actuator solenoid valve. Do not shove the reluctor wheel out of the way. Unscrew CMP actuator and timing chain then tie a strap. Install new CMP actuator and ensure that it is aligned and check the sprockets alignments. Lastly, re-fit the oil pump.
