How to Remove and Replace Rear Brake Calipers (JL9) on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?

In order to replace the rear brake caliper (JL9), first check the level of the fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir; if it is in the midpart between the maximum-full and minimum allowable levels, then remove fluid to achieve the middle. Lift and jack the vehicle, take off the rear tire and wheel assembly. Hand tighten 2 lugnuts of the wheel to ensure that the rotor stays fixed to the hub. Using a large c-clamp over the upper part of brake caliper against the rear of outboard brake pad-and tighten liter the calper piston was pushed into the caliper bore enough to slide the caliper from the rotor. Take out the c-clamp and the breech hose-, to clamp bolt; throw the 2 copper brake hose gaskets away. As extends stops the outlet into the rear brake hose to avoid the loss of fluid and contamination, take the caliper bolts 1 and 3 and the caliper and brake rotor and take it from the caliper bracket. Check the caliper bracket bolt boots for cuts, tears, or degeneration and replace any boots that are damaged. Check the caliper bolts and bushings for corrosion or damage, replacing with new bolts and bushings if needed. Install by positioning turner over rotor and caliper bracket with bushings installed. Apply silicone grease on the caliper bolts (1 and 3) avoiding the threads, and apply it to 2 boot bolts (13 and 4) in the caliper bracket. Mount the caliper bolts (1 and 3), allowing the bolt boots to slip into the groove without pinching or tearing and tighten to 44 n.m (32 lb. Ft.). Put together the brake hose bolt with new copper brake hose gaskets to the brake hose and fix the brake hose to caliper bolt while tightening it to 54n.m (40 lb ft). A. Remove 2 wheel lug nut retaining rotor to hub, install the rear tire/wheel assy lowered vehicle. Top up the master cylinder with the correct level of clean brake fluid and bleed the brake system while checking for leaks.
