Apply a grease pencil along with an appropriate marker to determine where the latch will go on the radiator support. The first step entails removing the Hood Latch support and all the bolts which keep the latch secured to the radiator support. Disconnect the Hood Latch cable from its place on the latch and then extract the latch from the automobile. Installation requires users to attach the Hood Latch cable to the lid while placing it where the previous mark exists on the radiator support. Tighten the bolts that retain the latch to the radiator support to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Then install the Hood Latch support and secure its bolts with same torque value. Test the latch functionality by inspecting it before closing the hood while adjusting the alignment between the hood striker and latch if needed. Finally, reinstall the grille.
