Start by removing the lower engine shield before uninstalling the right Catalytic Converter from the vehicle. Begin by recording the positions of the propeller shaft with respect to both the front drive axle and Transfer Case flanges before taking out the front drive axle heat shield. Begin by removing the front propeller mounting bolts along with locks from the Transfer Case drive flange. Continue with removing the front propeller shaft mounting bolts while including their locks from the front drive axle. A flat-bladed screwdriver should be used to extract the front propeller shaft from the Transfer Case while it is detached from the front drive axle drive flanges until you can completely remove the front propeller shaft from the vehicle. To mount the propeller shaft verify that both drive flanges contain their designated cones properly while matching their reference marks to Transfer Case and front drive axle drives. Loosen the front drive axle flange and Transfer Case drive flange to slide in the propeller shaft. When installing the propeller shaft, use torque wrenches to tighten the front drive axle flange locks and bolts to 40 nm (29 lb ft) before proceeding to secure the rear drive axle flange locks and bolts to the same torque value. The procedure continues by reinstalling the front drive axle heat shield before adding the right Catalytic Converter and the lower engine shield. After support removal lower the vehicle to complete the procedure.
