In order to exchange the parking braking shoe, elevate and assist the vehicle and strip the tire and wheel assembly. Removal of rear brake rotor, park brake shoe adjuster and park brake shoe retainers are done. Clean brake backing plate at the rear, add lubricant and put in new shoes and make sure they are in good position. Lastly, mate the park brake.
