How to Replace a Power Steering Hose for Optimal Performance on 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?

The power steering gear outlet pipe/hose needs replacement by using the following procedure: raise and support the vehicle while placing drain pans underneath. The vehicle should not start while any power steering gear hoses remain disconnected from their outlets or inlets and all openings must be plugged to avoid fluid loss and contamination. Sever the power steering gear outlet hose from the steering gear then seal the steering gear outlet port together with the power steering gear outlet hose. You should disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose from the power steering fluid cooler inlet port on the air conditioning condenser and cap the inlet port. Use a screwdriver to remove the three bolts situated on each of the three brackets of the power steering gear outlet hose before pulling the hose out of the vehicle. Place the outlet hose on the front frame while its power steering gear end remains capped. Insert the 3 bolts into the brackets on the power steering gear outlet hose but secure them at 9 nm (80 lb in). Detach the cap on the power steering fluid cooler inlet port before joining the outlet hose in place. Begin by permitting power steering fluid to flow out from the hose and immediately use your finger to cover its end for proper o-ring sealing. After extracting the steering gear outlet port plug you must swiftly connect the outlet hose by tightening the fitting to 34 nm (25 lb ft). First wipe away all residual fluid then take out the drain containers while lowering the vehicle for power steering system purging.
