How to replace the steering linkage inner tie rod on 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?

Removal of steering gear boot is required to change inner tie rod in the steering linkage. Move the steering gear rack to reveal the required parts. Apply a soft jaw wrench against the rack and proceed to twisting the inner tie rod housing in a counterclockwise direction to disconnect it. Install the new inner tie rod and fix it appropriately.
