How to replace the shift cable for the range selector lever on 2010 Chevrolet Traverse?

Take off the shift cable: apply the parking brake and wheel chocks. Take off the floor console panel, uncouple the shift cable from the lever pin and take off the shift lever from the transmission control lever. Once the parking brake is released, the new cable should be installed, adjusted and the transmission automatic shift cable adjusted.
