How to replace the starter motor on a V6 engine on 2010 GMC Sierra 1500?

In order to change the starter motor of a V6 engine, one needs to disconnect the negative battery cable and lift up the vehicle. Disengage the skid plate of the oil pan. Disconnect the engine wiring harness lead and the starter solenoid cable. Change the starter, as needed, and install parts again, and reconnect the battery.
