Start replacement of the lower Ball Joint by lifting the car above ground and taking off the tire wheel assembly. First remove the
Steering Knuckle which holds the Wheel Hub bearing assembly. Next strike the lower Ball Joint flange with a chisel to detach it from the
Control Arm. Install new lower Ball Joint components using j34874 booster seal remover/installer and j9519-e Ball Joint remover and installer set. Fit the lower assembly in position then install it using the Ball Joint remover and installer set (J9519-E) along with the Ball Joint installer (J41435) and receiver (J45105-2). Open the lower Ball Joint by adding the Ball Joint flaring adapter (J45105-1). Install the Ball Joint install adapter j45105-1 onto the lower Ball Joint and create the flare through the flange with the Ball Joint remover and installer set j9519-e. Complete the process by taking out the tools and placing back the Steering Knuckle assembly with Wheel Hub and bearing. Then install tire and wheel before lowering the vehicle to test front wheel alignment.
