The initial step in the replacement of the Throttle Body assembly is to relieve the pressure in the fuel system and remove the air cleaner intake duct, the pcv valve fresh air tube and the cruise control cable (and accelerator cable) from the accelerator controls cable bracket. Then, pull off the cruise control cable and accelerator control cable from the Throttle Body lever , and disconnect the iac valve electrical connector and tp sensor electrical connector. First, remove the fuel feed and return lines from the retainer of the accelerator controls cable bracket, then remove the transaxle shift cable clip and the Throttle Body from the water crossover. Following that, take off accelerator controls cable bracket from the Throttle Body. For installation, do not use a cleaner with a methyl ethyl ketone but use a carburetor cleaner for dislodging deposits. Put on new Throttle Body Gasket to Throttle Body and accelerate cable bracket, bolts tightened to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Bolt the Throttle Body to the Throttle Body spacer with bolts. Finalize by tightening the two lower bolts a little, and then tighten the entire group to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Re-hook the iac valve electrical connector and tp sensor electrical connector and install the accelerator control cable and cruise control cable at the Throttle Body lever. Finally, reattach, accelerator cable and cruise control cable towards the accelerator controls cable bracket, transaxle shift cable clip and the fuel feed and return lines. Finally, tighten the air cleaner intake duct clamp to the air cleaner intake air duct to 3 n.m (27 lb in), install the pcv valve fresh air tube, the fuel injector sight shield, and reconnect the negative
Battery Cable. Finish the tp sensor learn procedure by toggling the ignition switch off and onto run/on for one minute back off for 15 seconds then do the procedure for the iac valve by starting the engine and idling it for 15 seconds, then take the ignition key onto lock/off for 15 seconds at rest and start the engine then for checking the idle operation.
