First disconnect the crossover Exhaust Pipe followed by removal of the Radiator Hose from the Thermostat Housing. Start by cleaning off sealer residue from Thermostat Housing bolt threads while removing these bolts to separate the Thermostat Housing from the Thermostat. After surface cleaning proceed with installing both the Thermostat and the Thermostat Housing. Apply rtv sealing material gm p/n 12378478 (Equivalent Canadian P/N 88900041) to the bolt threads of the Thermostat Housing before bolting it on with 25 nm (18 lb-ft) torque. Install the Radiator Hose to its position on the Thermostat Housing before installing the crossover Exhaust Pipe. Last steps involve installing the fuel injector sight shield followed by filling the cooling system then performing leak checks with required repairs.
