Remove the evaporator core seal then extract the evaporator core from the auxiliary HVAC module so you can check gasket and seal conditions for damage before replacement tasks. First apply refrigerant oil to the evaporator then reinstall it into the auxiliary HVAC module by adding the evaporator core seal. Rejoin the case parts while fastening the screws of the auxiliary HVAC module until they reach 2 Nm of torque (16 lb in). After reconstructing the lower HVAC halves you should install the lower HVAC case screws while applying torque to 2 Nm (16 lb in). After reinstallation of the auxiliary HVAC module perform a leak test on fittings by using J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector.
