How to replace the Hood Cable for the Primary Latch Release on Chevrolet Express 2500?

Follow this repair sequence when changing the hood primary latch cable: raise the hood first then detach the cable from both the Hood Latch and radiator support retainer. Start by inserting the cable along with its grommet through the engine compartment into the cabin space. Then remove the left side hinge pillar trim panel from the body. Start by taking off the cable handle from the body by unscrewing the retaining screws. Take away the cable from the vehicle as the last step. Begin by connecting the cable to your vehicle before guiding it through the cabin until it reaches the engine bay for installation. Secure the cable grommet in the bulkhead before attaching the cable handle to the body using screws. First reinstall the left side hinge pillar trim panel before attaching the cable to the radiator support retainer then connect it to the Hood Latch and close the hood.
