To service the Throttle Position Sensor, you would first remove the engine cover and the throttle position (TP) sensor harness connector, as well as tp sensor attaching fasteners. Do not allow the tp sensor to come in contact with any liquid cleaner or any solvent since it's an electrical part and may get damaged. Next, take out the tp sensor from Throttle Body assembly. For installation the valve of the throttle will be closed, then attach the tp sensor to the throttle shaft, turn it counter clockwise to ensure that the mounting holes are in line. Install tp senor attaching fastners locking it down at 2 nm (18 lb in), then attach the tp sensor harness and install the engine cover.
