Start the repair process for a 4l80-e/4l85-e automatic transmission Transmission Oil Cooler by first removing the grille assembly. First disconnect the oil cooler lines then remove them from the push clips on the mounting bracket. Lift and stabilize your vehicle before removing all lower mounting bracket bolts from the oil cooler assembly. First lower the vehicle then choose the upper bolts off before extracting the oil cooler. Install the oil cooler into its position while you should tighten the upper bolts of the oil cooler bracket to a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). Raise the vehicle to install the lower bolts onto the oil cooler bracket while tightening them to 10 nm (89 lb in). Connect the oil cooler lines to the oil cooler unit before attaching the lines to push clips in the mounting bracket while the vehicle remains in a lowered position. Finally, reinstall the grille assembly.
