How to replace the primary and secondary hood latch on Chevrolet Express 3500?

Begin the hood primary and secondary latch replacement by elevating and sustaining the hood before using a grease pencil to define the Hood Latch and fastener positions. You must first remove the bolts which hold the Hood Latch to the radiator support before taking out the Hood Latch from its position on this support. Reposition the hood release cable from its position on the Hood Latch assembly. Insert the hood release cable to the Hood Latch and mount the Hood Latch onto the radiator support before securing it with bolts but keep the bolts loose. Position the Hood Latch fasteners and Hood Latch along the pencil marks on the hood before adjusting its position left or right to let the hood striker engage with the latch easily while also adjusting the height of the Hood Latch and front hood bumpers until the hood top matches the fenders perfectly. Close the hood after using the wrench to tighten bolts connecting the Hood Latch to the radiator support at 15 n.m (11 lb ft).
