  • Q: How to replace the Dipstick Tube on GMC Envoy?
    A:
The replacement process for the oil level indicator tube starts by taking off the A/C line bracket nut then unwiring the A/C line bracket from the oil level indicator tube stud. Begin by first disconnecting the electrical connector of the O2 sensor from the bracket that contains the oil level indicator. Then remove the oil level indicator tube stud. Remove the indicator from its tube before removing the tube from the engine block opening. To start installation put the oil level indicator tube into the engine block and then apply sealant to the threads of the oil level indicator tube stud according to (Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants) specifications. Fit the oil level indicator tube stud by torquing it up to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Fasten the A/C line bracket to the oil level indicator tube by installing its nut which you should torque to 7 Nm (6 inch lbs.). Before completing the installation reconnect the sensor electrical connector and put the oil indicator into its tubing.
