The
Valve Stem Oil Seal and valve spring replacement work starts by removing the valve
Rocker Arm first. Loosen the
Spark Plug wire by turning booteach 1/2turn and remove it with direct motions at theboots. When the engine temperature is at room level start taking off the spark plugs while turning them 1 to 2 times before applying brush or air cleaning techniques. Fit the (J 22794) into the Spark Plug opening then connect an air line and use compressed air to hold the valves steady. Insert j 38606 to compress the valve spring and take out both valve stem keys before decreasing spring pressure. After removing tool j38606 you should extract the valve spring cap then spring itself next the Valve Stem Oil Seal and shim. Apply engine oil to the valve guide and stem oil seal then install them into their respective areas on the Cylinder Head. Position the valve spring and valve spring cap before compressing the valve spring with (J 38606). Install the valve keys and use grease to secure them properly into the valve stem groove. Loosen the valve spring tool pressure then take out (J 38606) and hit the valve stem tip gently with a plastic hammer when needed. Turn (J 22794) out of the Spark Plug opening then use hand power while starting and tightening the Spark Plug until you reach 15 nm (11 lb ft). Place the
Spark Plug Wires on the ignition coil and Spark Plug, then check all wire boots for proper connection as you push and restow any loose units. Put the valve Rocker Arm in place as the last step.
