How to replace the front disc brake pads (JL9-J55) on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

Before starting on front disc brake pads (JL9-J55) replacement check the brake master cylinder reservoir fluid level. Keep the fluid between the halfway mark and the maximum-full level when the reservoir hits that mark. Take the vehicle off the ground and unmount the tire and wheel unit. Use the c-clamp with block to compress caliper pistons and apply hand force on wheel nut to fix rotor/hub connection. Adjust the c-clamp steadily until the caliper pistons move past the brake rotor then take off the clamp. Cut the guide pin bolt from the top caliper and secure it with mechanic's wire to stop brake hose pressure. Pull the caliper down and hold it in place as you take away the brake pads for visual examination of Brake Pad retainers. Inspect and change the boots on which the caliper slides as needed. Use the big c-clamp to push the pistons through until they reach their complete compressed position before removing it with the old Brake Pad or wooden block. Mount Brake Pad retainers and brake pads by placing the sensor in the correct position. Uphold the caliper until it fits in the bracket slot and fasten the upper guide pin bolt with 31 n.m force. Serially insert and remove the tire and wheel components but keep the engine off while using the brake pedal to reach about 2/3 of its possible travel and gradually easing pressure. Complete this process until the brake pedal solidifies then refill the reservoir to the specified level before polishing new brake components.
